SCIENCE

                                     INTRODUCTION TO SCIENCE

Science is the knowledge acquired through observation and experimentation

                                     FIELDS OF STUDY IN SCIENCE

The study of science leads to solving problems of nature that exist in the surrounding of the living organisms.

                               SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE📑

The knowledge acquired through the study of science. This is acquired by studying subjects such as biology, physics, geology, meteorology, astrology etc.

These subjects are called 'Pure science'.

After acquiring knowledge about the natural environment this knowledge can be applied in fields of 'Applied science', which include engineering, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, I.C.T., electronics etc.

SOCIAL SCIENCE: This deals with knowledge which is based on general behavior of the human beings in a society and does not involve much experiments.

CHEMISTRY: This deals with the composition of matter and changes that take place in matter.

BIOLOGY: The study of living things ( Plants🌱 and Animals🐒 ).

MEDICINE: This refers to the prevention and treatment of diseases.

GEOLOGY: This deals with the origin, composition and structure of the Earth.

ASTRONOMY: The study of bodies in space.

PSYCHOLOGY: The study of the mind🧠.

AGRICULTURE: Growing crops and raring animals for consumption.

METEOROLOGY: The study of the weather and its changes.

ENGINEERING: This is the design and construction of machines and engines.

PHYSICS: This deals with forces and matter. Physics uses science to develop or produce machines, tools and other useful gadgets.

INTERGRATED SCIENCE: It is the study of fields of science as a single discipline in such a way that none of the fields stands out on its own.

                                            SCIENTIFIC METHOD

It is a systematic way of solving problems used by scientist. In using a scientific method one must;

1- Identify the problem.

2- Make hypothesis.

3- Carrying out experiments.

4- Analyze the results.

5- Make conclusions.

TECHNOLOGY: This is the practical use of scientific knowledge, method and equipments to do work.
